its a beautiful day~

woke up pretty early today as my body system is used to waking up at 6.30 every morning.

i was supposed to go to the hosptial with my mom as my grandmother got admitted into hosptial. but when i woke up, i realised that no one's at home. my mom left without me! >.<

came online and chatted with my friends~ loLx~ quite surprised to see quite a number of people online so early in the day. hAaz=P all the early birds, catching the worms~

went to CCK gym afterwards even though i had cellgroup meeting at 4pm. well, i reached the gym at 2.04pm and i only had 1 hour to work out. i wasted no time and forced myself to carry the weights even though i was tired~ lolx=P stopping only to stretch or when i've to wait for someone else to finish using the equipment.

when i saw the clock tick to 3pm, i rushed to collect my bag, changed and headed to the bus stop.

when i boarded the bus, i didn't notice that the majority of the passengers were in red t-shirts. i started to realise the trend when they started walking past me and when we were caught in a heavy jam near bugis. loLx=P

then, i realised that its the NDP preview and i had to squeeze with 55,000 other red t-shirts singaporeans in the train and on the bus. i could FEEL the national anthem being played in their minds, and songs like - one people, one nation, one singapore~ HAhahzZ! =X

was just in time for cellgroup meeting as i reached when they were having prayer meeting~ thank God!

cellgroup meeting today is about self esteem~ pretty cool message.

well, we were supposed to have dinner behind hollywood theatre, which is formerly CHC building too. i was told that the ban mian is extremely delicious~ but when we reached there, we realised that the stall finished business and closed its stall at 5pm! >.<

so, we went to this malay themed s-11 coffeeshop to have our dinner=/

headed home, and i was rather relieved that there wasn't much red t-shirts singaporeans on the mrt and bus~ lolx=P

what does it mean when its friday? it means that its saturday tomorrow!! wOohOo!!

its a pretty interesting friday. it used to be 1 of the most boring day of the week because of the lessons - Database and OOP. but, it was totally different for today!!

i was late for Database class and when i stepped into the class, i noticed that the lecturer just finished marking attendance. so i went up to him and told him my name, then i realised that he has already marked me present because my classmate told him that i was reaching class soon. loLx=P thank God!!

it was a practical class and we had assignments to do. i started to open my laptop and figure out what was the question talking about. hamzah then asked me for help regarding a game and we started playing games in class~ lolx=P but, i got a little guilty afterwards and i exited the game did the assignment.

i didn't really understand the solution that was given, so i called the lecturer over and asked him loads of questions. thank God that i did ask him questions because my lecturer started explaining many things to me that were hazy to me. he even showed me the common mistakes and other methods to answer the question` loLx~ i felt brainy'er afterwards=P
 
we then headed for OOP class. i felt quite sian about OOP class as its usually extremely boring and i would have totally NO idea whatever the lecturer is talking about. well, the class was a practical class too and we had to use our laptops to write the programs.

in the beginning, howie, yanren and i were playing games at the back of class. but we got pretty bored and started to do the assignment given to us. suddenly, OOP became so interesting when we got the momentium! hahaZz=P

when we were doing our assignment, howie became crazy. there was this external aircon set thats behind howie and he switched it on. the air was EXTREMELY cold.

saying that he's very hot, he then took a fan and placed it infront of the aircon and directed the fan at himself. i could feel the coldness from my seat but howie insisted that he's extremely hot. loLx=P i guess he must be having a fever of 40 degrees. lolx=P

anyway, we managed to complete the assignments after staying behind in class, brainstorming about the errors generated. lolx=P there was this sense of joy when we finally completed the assignment~

met up with eddie and herman at canteen 1 and we headed home together, after eddie went to look at glasses~ it was a crazy trip back as eddie was talking crap during the entire journey.

we then played basketball at BPCC and i hurt my back again. i went for a layup and got sandwiched between 2 persons, causing my back to twist a little=/ then, in another game, i went for another layup and the person guarding me pushed from the back, causing discomfort=/

then, i went to the other side of the court and played basketball~ at least my life wasn't threatened over there and i didn't even sweat when i was playing there~ loLx=P

headed home, cooked dinner and watched sermon online~ its an impacting sermon! i can't wait for sunday!! hAaz=P

thursday~

whenever i wake up and realise that its thursday, i would dread - 8am to 5pm lessons, packed with super boring lectures and tutorials.

but, it was different today!

even when i had to wake up at 6am and leave house by 6.30am, i didn't mind a single bit as we had prayer meeting!! even though we were all sleepy, our spirits were high and ready to fight the sleepy bug! ahahZz=P its pretty cool praying along the field, less obvious to the crowd thats walking past.

had my breakfast at canteen and we discuessed about a evanglistic outreach program. we discussed about many programs and we "sort" of comfirmed at the sport basketball~! -hops- herman! join me ah~ =P
 
classes were extremely boring, but i managed to keep awake=)

rushed home and took a quick shower. jieqi invited me to her friend's church for a performance and i was late!! well, thank God that her friends were late too~ so i wasn't really considered late. loLx=P

jieqi's taller then me!! argh!! i've shrinked~!! >.<

anyway, the church's performance was pretty nice=) though draggy, i enjoyed myself~ praise the Lord~! when the Pastor gave the altar call, quite a number of people responded and gave their hearts to Jesus!! -hops-

i was even approached by a brother who asked if i want to accept Christ in my life. loLx=P

its harvest time!!

i didn't manage to survive playing basketball at 478 earlier.

it wasn't because my arms were too tired or sore. but i fell and landed on the joint that connects the hip and the legs. it wasn't painful in the beginning, but i felt uncomfortable and got ronald to play for me.

when i was resting, i started rotating and massaging the joint, thinking that it would help. but, the moment i stood up, the pain became quite unbearable and i had to limp a little.

there was this kid who's not a singaporean came over and played with us. he and his friends were in blades and they were skating effortlessly around the court. i guess the kid's only 12 years old, but his friend said that he's small sized for his age~ lolx.

anyway, that kid is a really funny boy. he came over and joined us, starting chatting with us and even teased herman! very funny little boy with jokes that pack a mean punch.

the culture of theirs is so different~ they are so much more daring, socialable and noisy. we had a great time chatting with that boy and herman even blessed him with a basketball.

i'm still puzzled that he finds me familar. lolz~

school starts early today, but it ends at 12pm. the earliest day of the entire week!
 
today's lessons were lectures and tutorials. deciding to go to school in berms, PJC PE shirt and my ah pek slippers!! hahaz!! then, when i carried my bag, i realised that i looked extremely weird in it. so, i felt extremely lazy and decided to bring just a file to school =P

there's a bazzar going on in our school's atrium and some of my friends managed to get a stall setup there. vera, albert and john. vera and her cellgroup (i believe) were selling seashells, albert and his friends were selling cards and john and his cellgroup were selling cookies!

i bought 2 bucks worth of cookies from john and it tastes really nice. john said that they baked it themselves~ really great effort and it really tasted like famous amos cookies~ loLx=P

headed home and continued tuning the guitar. just when i thought its finally done, i started to hear a cracking sound. its a familar sound and i feared for the worst - the entire string base coming out.

well, i left the guitar at a corner and walked out of the room. when i walked back, there was a LOUD snap and the strings flew in all directions. sigh. i guess that the base has to be properly fixed first, before the strings can be tuned to the exact range.

went to CCK gym and i told myself that i must push myself really hard today~ hees~ thank God that i kept the covenant and i'm feeling the side effects of after a hard workout~ =P

hope that i would be able to survive later, when i play basketball~

every tuesday seems to be the same - boring lessons in the morning, interesting lessons in the evening.

jessica loaned me her tuner so that i could tune the guitar at home. ( i'm not using my guitar, because its still herman's ) its a cool, sleek looking device that tells you the pitch of the sound made. cool stuff eh? samantha took it and started screaming into it, urging nurul to do so too~ loLx=P

classes ended and we headed our own ways. i went to ginza plaza to purchase guitar strings and pick. to my dismay, the shop only opens at 12pm!! i stared into my handphone and realised that it was only 10.40am! felt extremely stupid, i started walking around ginza plaza. well, its a complete ghost town. most of the shops were closed and there wasn't much people.

slept in macdonalds until lunch time, 11.15am
 
i guess i ordered the MOST expensive meal of the month. i'm trying to save money.. i got myself Fillet Meal, upsized drink changed to Iced Tea AND a packet of large fries. so, in layman's terms, its 2 large fries, 1 fillet and 1 medium iced tea.

camped outside the shop as it wasn't opened yet. there were several other people waiting outside too, but they left after waiting for a while. SOLE SURVIVOR!! okok, i'm nuts.
 
when the shop finally opened, i walked into the shop, got attended to and told the person that i needed guitar strings and a pick. well, was given a WIDE range of picks to choose from. can you believe it? differnet sizes, designs and thickness!! i NEVER knew that there were that much picks to choose=/ i stoned for a minute, and finally chose a 0.5mm pick. i guess its too thin le=/
 
lets do some math. waiting time - 1 h 40 minutes. purchase time - 3 minutes? its so NOT worth it! -grumbles- LOL!
 
went back home and tried to fix the strings into the guitar. mission failed as the guitar started falling apart. time was running out and i would be late for classes if i continued to drag. threw the guitar on my bed, changed and left home. i think i will make it a point to wear slippers to school on tuesdays, and with berms that make me look like some ah-pek.

TVE!! woohoo! i was in the same group as the pretty girl~!! -hops- as our lecturer wanted us to group into groups of 3, maximum 4 and 1 of us in our group of 5 had to sacrifice. since, the pretty girl's group had only 2 girls, including her, i made the "sacrifice" and joined her group~

i was so paiseh when i walked over~ i sat infront of them and because we had to write our names for submission, i gave her my name. i was like, uh.. i'm joel. -looks away- then, i noticed the blur look on her face and i repeated my name again. i felt SO STUPID when i noticed the paper. she had already written down my name and she's just waiting for my surname. so i blurted out my surname and looked away, probably blushing like mad.

then, she stared at me again. i started to panic, and wondered whats wrong. stared at the paper, and realised that she doesn't know how to spell my surname. so i gave her the spelling of my surname~ loLx=P

during that "staring" period, i noticed their names - Kassie and Serene. either 1 of the 2 names is hers! i wonder which 1... loLx=P
 
well, we had a great discussion~ hahaz=) most of the time, all 3 of us were contributing and there were much communication with each other~ heheez~ -hops-

headed home as sam and nurul went to meet bimei and taught her ES.

reached home and started to fix the guitar. the guitar fell apart and i had to think of ways to fix it back. thank God, His wisdom suddenly came upon me and i realised that i tied the strings wrongly, and got superglue and double sided tape to hold the damaged piece.

the guitar now stands pretty beside me, but its totally out of tune. i'm still quite afraid of tuning it as the damaged piece may just fly out again without warning=/

tomorrow's wednesday! meeting up with the campus crusade guy and maybe i'll hit the gym afterwards=D

its monday~

full day in school, from 8am to 5pm. it was pretty tiring, but i guess we're getting quite used to it. the entire class was quite dismoralised when the DM lecturer gave us back our paper. well, no excuses, i did really badly for the paper=/

when the lecturer went through the paper, i tried my best to understand whatever she's talking about, but i had totally no idea what she was glibbishing about. sometimes, she would just write the solution down, and start explaining in english how did she arrive at the solution~ it was super confusing.

afterwards, yanren and alvin started becoming crazy again. the rumours started again and they were pairing guys with a particular girl in class. loLx~ then, out of no where, yanren took out a Adidas cologne and started spraying at everyone. i wasn't spared as i was just sitting beside him. lolx=P

our AT lecturer's in a bad mood today~ when half of the class disappeared suddenly, she said, "sometimes i wonder why i'm teaching in this class, nobody seems to be listening." woah. everyone in the class went silent and didn't know what to do. she says that we don't listen to her class=/ sigh~ actually, we all listen...=/

well, pratical class was quite challenging. we're supposed to setup complicating circults and sijie provided really useful advises~ we managed to complete the most challenging circult of the day, after getting frustrated when it didn't work in the beginning. our lecturers were practically checking every single part and when we changed a blue wire, then entire circult could work=/

classes afterwards were quite boring~ nothing much to comment. just plain stoning and absorbing.

headed home and stopped over at BPCC to play a little basketball. kids nowsadays really got no manners. i was really playing very not-seriously and they started to be rough on me. well, i didn't rough back, but i increased my pace and whenever i ran into the paint, bodies were flying~ teehee~

there were occasions when the opponent tried to knock me, but his plan backfired. he stumbled.

then, there was this showoff who thinks that he's the best basketballer and he guarded me. well, i got pretty tight on him cause he's pretty accurate. but instead, he wasn't able to go pass me and started to play rough too. anyway, herman! i think you would know who i'm talking about larh~ =P

anyway, its boring playing basketball with them. all they do is just shoot, shoot and more shootings.

heh. im not going to type the entire sermon here in my blog=P but, if your interested, drop me message and i'll be more then willing to send you the sermon notes. =D

thank God that i arranged to meet my friends at 9.30am~ most of us were late and when we finally met up, we only had to wait 5 minutes for the shuttlebus =D it's pretty weird as i've got 3 different groups of friends with me. waikeong and yongjie are my secondary school friends, serene is my classmate and patricia is my basketball friend~ between them, there isn't much common interests and there were silence between the 2 girls~ lolx=P

bought them to meet up with the cellgroup - charmaine, melanie and peiling. we walked down the stairs and queued at b3~ i was pretty glad as that meant that we would be getting seats in the auditorium~ tEehEe~

somehow, we got separated when we entered the audtorium and i bought my friends around to look for them. well, i could not find them and we settled down at the seats that we found~ when i could finally get through charmaine's phone, we realised that we were at opposite ends of the auditorium~ loLx=P there were insufficient seats on both sides, so we decided to seat separately~

during this period of time, i was briefing my friends, telling them what to expect and what would they see, hear and experience~ lolx~ i wanted them to expect something to happen, instead of realising that something would happen when the service starts~

service started and there were special performances~ there was a guy with a turntable, mixing the music. there was dance and even pyrotechnics! lastly, there was a drama performed by the drama ministry~ it was all nicely executed~ i had a great time watching~ =D

before Pastor Kong called for the altar call, i felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to pray. i started to pray for my friends and when the altar call was given, i felt a sense of assurance, delight and excitment. when Pastor Kong called those that responded to step out to the front, i saw patricia rushing to go forward~ then, i asked yongjie and waikeong if they want to receive Christ, but they didn't want to. so, i turned to serene. when i asked her, she gave me a HUGE smile and stepped out~ praise the Lord~!!
 
i led both girls out to the front and i wanted to pray for them. but 2 other cellgroup leaders took them and prayed for them~ so i made my way back to my seats and prayed for yongjie~ i was being told by someone else to pray for him~ lolx=)

squeezed my way to the front and found the 2 girls, writing their particulars and praying silently with the 2 cellgroup leaders~ it sort of reminded me when i was at the front, doing the same thing as they are.

i was pretty blur and i didn't know whats going on. but i knew that i've made a decision in my life and i can never be the same again =)

after we got back to our seats, i had a chat with serene. she told me that when she was being prayed for, she could sense something in her and its something she never experienced before! i'm sure its the Holy Spirit filling up her heart, moving in her! amen!! praise the Lord!!

we went to the riveria for fellowship and we went to collect hotdogs and icecreams for them~ in the end, the entire cellgroup was eating hotdogs and icecream together~ loLx=P

then, patricia and i headed to jurong and had lunch together~ serene, yongjie and waikeong went to jurong entertainment center for a session of ice skating~ loLx=P had a great time chatting with patricia, got to know her better and learnt about her church~ =P

but, both serene and patricia would be joining us for services and cellgroup meetings in the future!! thats if they're free=) praise the Lord!!
 
i can't wait for next week's service!! Pastor Mike Connel. a man of God who moves powerfully in the Spiritual - deliverance, healings and great science and wonders=) -hops-

i had a vision, a thought as i was heading home. God's going to use Serene in a great way, to reach out to our classmates. as she begins to share about her experience in CHC, it would cause an impact in her friend's lives and cause them to desire that experience. praise the Lord...

painful saturday~

i woke up with aching muscles and when i tried to stand up, i couldn't stand straight properly. the muscles at my stomach got extremely painful when stretched. it would take around 1 minute for me to stand straight properly after sitting down or lying down=/

headed to paya lebar, sharmaine's place for cellgroup meeting. 960 took more then 30 minutes to arrive, and because of that i boarded 700 to newton MRT station. i couldn't afford to wait anymore. but in the end, i was still late for cellgroup.

i learnt how to play the guitar today!! mel taught me 4 chords!! but, the problem now is that i need a guitar so that i can practise strumming and changing of chords~ i was happily strumming away, switching chords, massaging my hands in case it gets cramped and i noticed that blisters were forming on my left hand fingers. but i continued playing the guitar~ hahaz=P i must get a guitar real quick.. don't wanna forget the 4 chords.
 
on the bus back, there was this group of students in the bus making a huge din. i guess they're from west spring secondary school. the ENTIRE bus was staring at them as they screamed, shouted and laughed super loudly. even when i was listening to songs at fullblast, i still could hear their screams and laughters.

then, somehow they bought lightsticks with them - those bendables lightsticks, and they started to poke them into the aircon holes, loop it around the grab handles and threw it all over the bus.

alighted at the stop opposite BPCC and walked over. not much people playing basketball today, but herman, weilun, weiming, patricia, michelle, eddie, ronald, terrance and xuanfeng were there. it was drizzling and only a few of us were playing basketball.

as i had muscle aches, i didn't run around much. i was trying not to stretch myself too much, in case i strain myself again, but as i played basketball, i felt myself playing faster and harder~ hahaZz=P but, thank God that i didn't overstrain myself again =)

the tempo of the game dropped drastically afterwards and non of us were serious playing basketball. it got pretty boring afterwards and i said that i needed a break=P

well, tomorrow's weekend connection, and all new friends would be given free icecreams and hotdogs!! hAhaz=P i heard that its a great sermon as the previous services were totally packed with people!! even the stairs were filled with people. praise the Lord!!
 
joining me tomorrow are 5 youthful people. serene, waikeong, yongjie, patricia and binghui. pray that they would receive Christ. even if not, they would know about Christ and what was His purpose on earth. amen!

friday morning.

met up with yanren in school and we worked out in the gym together. his twin brother, yanyi came and joined us afterwards. its scary working out with them as they carry heavy weights, high repetitions and sets. they spend little time resting, and even when they're resting, they would be doing something simple like crutches, dumbells or push ups.

i think i did a total of 100+ crutches totalled.
 
working out with them, i learnt many new stuffs - simple weight lifs to methods. we would be meeting every friday morning and work out in the gym~ hehee~ =P school's gym actually pretty good...
 
first lesson of the day, database. its a practical class and we had to work onour laptops~ i managed to get the program running and working properly. attempted the questions and i understood it. thank God~!

then, OOP lesson. its another practical lesson and we worked on our laptops too. this time, the difference was that i didn't understand a single thing about OOP! sigh.

school ended and i went to meet herman, eddie and xuanfeng. eddie and herman wanted to go IMM to get some And1 stuffs, but they decided to go CCK in the end. loLx=P i didn't join them as i was quite tired.

alighted at BPCC, and realised that binghui was on the same bus as me. then, we saw quite a number of people playing basketball at the CC, so we walked in and watched. soon, we got ourselves involved in matches, playing with weilun, junjiang, derrick and a few others~ loLx=P had a great time laughing and making a fool out of myself=P

body aching a little now =/

what a day of contrasts~

i had my NF test during the first 2 hours of school, and it was pretty fine. i guess passing it shouldn't be a problem, but passing with flying colours would be a nice result=)

then, the killer paper came. DM! i was staring at the test paper like it was some alien equation from mars. well, thank God i managed to do some questions and i did the other questions the best that i could=X

during my one hour break, i went to the library to meet up with samantha, nurul, kailiang and another indian guy. in the end, i didn't contribute to the project because there were delays, and when we finally started working on the project, i had to leave for classes=P

something really weird hit the class today. everyone was in a super good mood and we started joking, laughing and "suaning" each other~ loLx~ even our lecturers had to stop and allow us to cool down first, before continuing teaching~

earlier, i played golf at the driving range with my sister and her bf~!! it's so FUN!! its been eons since i last played golf and even though my elbow hurt, my left hand's trembling, i want to play golf again~! =D

rainy days = sleepy days
 
thank God Charmaine gave me a morning call at 6.30, else i wouldn't have woke up on time~ i guess i really sounded really bad cause when i said hello? i could hear Charmaine laughing away~ loLx=P must be my morning voice...
 
the moment i got onto my seat in class, i fell asleep again. loLx~ i was really very tired and the weather was PERFECT for sleeping.

well, i didn't stone throughout the lecture. when the lecturer asked questions, i gave the correct answer and got rewarded with a ferrero roche=D

school ended at 12pm today, and i met bimei afterwards. i taught her Engineering Science, a module which i took last year~ well, i wasn't really able to teach them much stuffs because i forgot most stuffs~ and i guess i even taught kimberly a wrong method~ lolx=X i gotta refresh myself~ =/
 
then, i went up to the library to study with yanren, howie and alvin~ lolx. i didn't study much because i was extremely sleepy and i spent most of the time trying to figure out the possible reasons and solutions=/

the pretty girl from my TVE class smiled at me!!
 
herman and binru then came up to the library and joined me~ herman was busy renaming the videos, sound files and pictures. binru was busy playing fifa2003 and he got caught by kangkang afterwards~ loLx=P we left the library together at around 5 plus and had our "dinner" at canteen 2~

lazed around at Bukit Panjang CC and watched the adults play, the youths on the other side~ loLx~

2 tests tomorrow~ like what Patricia said, God would bless me through my paper!!

what a day...
 
waking up late for class was bad enough~ getting stuck in a traffic jam in different parts of bukit timah is worst~!! a usual journey would take 15 minutes, but it took 45 minutes long earlier~ i was so late for class that when i stepped into class, my classmates went woah, mornin joel~ 
 
i reached class at about 8.45am~ and at about 9am, the lecturer gave us a break~ hAaz=P then, mr koo lee keong asked me why was i late for class, and i told him that i was stuck in a jam.  well, i thought that he would scold me for using a stupid reason, but instead, he said that i should inform the school committee about it as it would affect my studies~ apparently, he feels that the traffic jam problem can be solved by the school=/
 
took a cab down to Choa Chu Kang sports complex~ GYM!! its been ages since i last stepped into a gym, and i was quite shocked by the number of people working out in the gym. thought there wasn't much people in it, its quite packed on a tuesday morning.
 
since i haven been working out frequently, i didn't push my body too much~ i did pretty relaxed weights, but quite high repeitions~ gotta get back in shape, fast!
 
you guys maybe wondering why i want to get back in shape... loLx=P well, its for security purposes. i signed up to serve as a Security in my church, and i don't think you would want a scawny security ensuring that theres peace throughout the service.  lolx=)
 
went home to rest and shower, then headed back to school for TVE lessons.
 
had our quiz for TVE today, and the quiz was pretty tricky~! i should be able to pass for the quiz~ thank God=)
 
met up with Herman and we headed back to Choa Chu Kang, KBOX!! hAhaz!! had our dinner and waited for Charmaine and JiaWei.
 
arcades have changed so much~! herman and i took a walk inside the arcade and we were so shocked to see so many new games, complicating ones to expensive games~ there's even this football game where you have to buy the football cards, place them in position and play soccer. in total, you have to purchase about 15 cards! super expensive hobby...
 
Charmaine reached, followed by JiaWei~ got into our room and we started singing~ well, its the first time in our KBox'ing history that there isn't any song in the waiting list.
 
Charmaine sounds like Stephanie Sun, Jolin Tsai and a few other singers that i don't know. i didn't notice it until Herman played a song Charmaine sang.
 
sent Charmaine home as she had to leave earlier~ in the LRT, we were still singing and i tried to drag her to the playground to play, but she didn't want to~ hAaz~ her braces were tightened earlier and she's in pain=/ and that means no solid food for 2 weeks!! so sad~! =/ but, at least she's still in her bright spirit~ =)
 
then, i went back to KBox and continued singing~ decided to go crazy since Charmaine isn't there~ the BEST song of the day!! Mayday - Ting Bu Dao, sang by Herman and me!! HAaz!! =P

i survived in school today, without spending a single cent~!!
 
with just 5cents in my wallet, its virtually impossible for me to get a drink or to eat~ but, i found out that nasi lemak cost $1.80~!! and its pretty delicious too~ so, perhaps i'll survive 2 bucks a day, eating nasi lemak for my entire life! =X
 
thank God that i managed to last the entire day on a virtually empty stomach~
 
the entire class was extremely restless today~ even our lecturers could not stand our restlessness~
 
met up with bimei after school and i helped her with her assignment=/ microsoft words~ argh~~ it wasn't as easy as i expected and there were few stuffs that i wasn't sure myself~ loLz=P

cellgroup outing~
 
received a message from charmaine at 8am, asking me to wait for her orals to end, then we would proceed to meet the rest of the cellgroup.  charmaine's oral finally ended at 12pm when she called me back.
 
"return me my phone!!" -screams-
 
heh, jeffery took her phone for no reason and i was on the other line, listening to charmaine screaming and demanding jeffery to return her phone. loLz=P
 
charmaine then called me back afterwards when she thought that i wasn't on the other line=/ loLz=P we started chatting and when she walked under my block, i opened my window grills and waited for her~ like what we used to do in the past, we would talk to each other on the phone, while "looking" at each other. but, the difference was that i'm on the 10th floor, and she was at the carpark~ loLz=P
 
we chatted like that for around 5 minutes and she headed home~ challenged each other to see who could bath faster and i won in the end~ hahaZz=P
 
we met under my block and she accompanied me to deposit money into my bank account.  gotta save money!!
 
took 190 all the way to clark quey to meet the rest of the cellgroup - xiaojia, dawn, daphne and weilun.
 
we had karokae! but, i was pretty stressed singing with them~ firstly, charmaine's there~ secondly, dawn's a great singer~ lastly, i've never sang with my cellgroup in a karokae before!! hAhaZz!
 
i practically screwed all my songs up with wrong tones, wrong words and wrong choice of songs~ HaHaz! its not advised to sing high pitch songs if you haven been practising~ heHz =P
 
anyway, i still feel like singing now~ >.< didn't really sing loads of songs~ hAHaz=P
 
on the way home with charmaine, the singing bug got into us~ we started singing songs - all kinds of songs~ and we even sang Christian songs together~ hAHaz=P
 
when we finally reached pending LRT station, i noticed that herman, weilun and xuanfeng were at Bukit Panjang CC playing basketball~ charmaine was rather curious who herman was, decided to go BPCC and take a look~ she was quite fascinated watching them play basketball and said that they're good basketballers~ hAaz=)
 
everyone in BPCC must have thought that charmaine's my GF... loLz=P
 
charmaine had to go home as she would be having family dinner at marina~ so, i sent her home. as we're reaching her place, a car passed by us. i noticed that the entire family in the car was staring at charmaine and me. nudging charmaine, i asked her if that's her relatives, but it wasnt~! so, we didn't quite bother about it~
 
then, as we approached charmaine's place, the car was parked right beside her house!! hAaz! her neighbours were in the car~ now, theres more people who thinks that charmaine's my GF. loLz=P
 
as i walked out of her place, i noticed a familar car turning in. car registation number 521~ i looked up and saw sister sharon in the car! hAaz~ she looked quite shocked and i guess that she expected i was with charmaine earlier~ =P
 
looks like i'll have to treat charmaine a session in kbox and dinner in sake sushi~ challenged her to get 5As for her midyears, and she achieved it. anyway, i was supposed to treat her months back, but i kept delaying it~ hAhaz~ can't delay anymore~ must be a man of my word=)

school's so boring, i did my programming assignment. well, with the help of my friends of cause~ HaHaz=P
 
my programming lecturer's quite a unreasonable person~ my friend merely wanted to stay in class and do his own stuffs, but the lecturer demanded that he leave the classroom, and he even shouted at my friend.
 
headed to church for Christian Lifestyle classes and service.
 
discipleship - thats what i learnt in Christian Lifestyle today~ doing things first, then teaching. being submittive to our leaders and loving everyone.
 
service - Pastor Kong preached about how Simon Peter's life was changed when he listened to Jesus and having Faith in God. then, the sermon twisted to a missions sermon and i felt the Lord speaking to me, challenging me to cast my "nets" into the deep sea and a great harvest.
 
then, i began to think... in my thoughts, i saw my classmates coming to church with me, NP friends and others giving their lives to Jesus Christ. it was indeed a great thought and by the grace of God, it would come to past!
 
Pastor Kong laid hands on adults aged 25 to 30, cellgroup leaders and School of Theology students. i noticed that the securities were scrambling from 1 person to another, making sure that when Pastor Kong lay hands on them, they would land on the floor softly.
 
after service, i took a cab to zongxian's place. it's his birthday and he organised a BBQ to celebrate. many people were there, but by the time i reached, most of them have already left~ the only reminders are those that i often meet~ weilun, herman, weiming, eddie, xuanfeng, royston, louis, binghan and junlin. carmen and desmond came down extremely late, but armed with a present - a pair of boxers! HahAz! i've got a share of that boxers too~ =P
 
slowly, people went off and we left at about 1.45am~
 
finally reached home at 2am and got the chance to rest...

powerpacked day~

i survived a whole day in school~!! though i fell asleep for 5 minutes for a particular class, the remaining classes, i was wide awake!! but not all lessons i was paying attention. loLx=)

after school, i met up with vera and esther and we headed to canteen 1 for our dinner. jierui came over and joined us shortly afterwards, den a new friend - ah bao, came over and joined us too.

headed straight to church as we were running out of time~

finally, we reached church and i was pretty glad to see most of the people still sitting at the lobby. teehe~ jessica "marked" our attendance and i watched "Finding Nemo" on the screen.

discussed with samantha about our TVE project ( nurul, are you reading this? =P ) and time's RUNNING OUT~! i got service on friday, sam has visitations on saturday and service on sunday. HOW!?

anyway, we headed up to room 4 for our prayer meeting.

its a really long day, but fruitful. i managed to meet up with bimei and ernest for a small fellowship. we had lunch together and talked about school and other topics~ then, aaron, jierui and chewlin came over and joined us when we saw them in the canteen.

when bimei and jierui had to leave for classes, the rest of us left for the atrium as there's a bazzar in there.

there's a pretty cool illusion performance by a student, and he's quite amazing. though some of his tricks were pretty obvious, i admire his skill as he has pretty fast fingers and mind.

went home, showered.

headed back to school to meet up with bimei again, this time for campus crusade. its a small bible study group with other Christians in Ngee Ann Polytechnic and their focus is to reach out to the unchurched. there are events and mission trips organised in Ngee Ann Polytechnic and overseas~ sounds really interesting... bible studies and reaching out to unchurched.

had my dinner with bimei at far east~ the fried rice rawks!! it's so delicious that there wasn't any grains of rice left on my place=P the smell of the fried rice was great, and the taste of it was even better~ teehee~

went home after sending bimei home and following her to get some stuffs=/

received a message, informing me that i would be doing songsheets tonight~ loLz=P i guess i'm really happy with the final version of the songsheet i prepared.

even though most people won't bother so much, i think its still important.

i'm falling asleep on my chair again...=/

its amazing that my fever went down in 2 hours and i felt perfectly normal afterwards. thank God for healing.

its the first time i bought a sweater to school; just in case my fever comes back. anyway, snuggling under my sweater in a cold classroom is seriously comfortable. i almost fell asleep in PQS class=P

i guess Koo Lee Keong would remember our faces for this semister - if he doesn't give breaks, we leave the classroom together, and return around 30 minutes later. if he does give breaks, we leave together again, and return 30 minutes later too~ loLx=P

5 hours break...

nurul, sam and i were in the school library and they decided to watch movies. at the beginning, we were planning to watch finding nemo. but we were unable to find the DVD.

sam found the land before time DVD, and we decided to watch that show. i was pretty excited cause i remember that its a very touching, meaningful and sweet show that i used to love. littlefoot, sharpteeth, 3 horns...

after the show, nurul and i headed to Singapore Polytechnic for lunch. i went to their mcdonalds and looked for wanling and jieqi~ loLx~ jieqi looked really shocked to see me=P

had our lunch in SP, den we headed back to Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

lingered in the school library and read comics till its time to go to class~ bartman!! hAhaz=X

TVE class was quite interesting, though i almost fell asleep on a few occasions~ loLx=P

met up with chewlin, clarice, bernard, jessica, reid, daniel and another new friend to go to church together. but in the end, only bernard, jessica, chewlin and reid came along. clarice and gang had to wait for valerie=P

reached church pretty early and jessica and i started queuing. got down the stairs, but the doors at B4 were not opened. charmaine messaged me, and we starting text-messaging. loLx=P the best thing was that she was somewhere behind me, but not hear enough to have a normal conversation. loLx=P

church without walls! super encouraging seminar~ loLx=P after the seminar, char and i stayed in church and waited for sister sharon.

charmaine wrote about me in her compositions!! >.<

like knights waiting for knighthood, we knelt till sunrise.

another night hike has come and gone; a new batch of sec 1 scouts are finally "offically" called FoxScouts.

the annual group overnight hike requires all the scouts from all 3 schools to walk together from GreenRidge Secondary to Kranji War Memorial. its just a simple ceremony for the sec 1 scouts, to invest them into the unit. in layman's term, to scarf them.

thats just a simple idea of our annual overnight group hike=)

met up with alvin and we had breakfast together at a nearby coffeeshop. i was told that the coffeeshop belongs to my friend's dad~ woAh~

then, i went to alvin's place to get his bike for the overnight hike. his speakers rawkz! bose speakers with a super huge subwoofer! the music is crispy clear and nice~

when his cousin came over to his place, the 3 of us took our bikes and rode back to bukit panjang. alvin's a crazy biker. he's forever drifting the bus, following tightly behind the bus=/ i tried drifting, but i got a little freaked out at the speed~ loLz=P

reached home finally and took a short break.

cycled down to herman's place as i was pretty bored and we played PS2.

when its time to leave, herman got the locks to unlock the chain that's chained over my bike. but, the lock wouldn't open! the key was spoilt? or rather, not working and we had to come up with other ideas to open the lock.

we used saws, pincers and hammers to break the chain. but, eventually it was the hammer that did the job. thank God the chain wasn't very thick!

cycled back to weiming's house as he's having a BBQ. he's celebrating his birthday, and he treated us to a BBQ~ lolx. though its just at his void deck, was quite shocked when he told us the total cost of the BBQ - 200+

weiming seems to know everyone in his block~! =/

after eating to my fill, and when its finally 10.30, i headed to GreenRidge Secondary to report. cycled there and realised that most of the scouts were already there, but i wasn't late=)

after the scouts were dismissed, the sec 1 scouts were given a specific time to sew their unit badge on their uniform. i saw xiao-ker-ai helping another sec 1 scout sew his badge~ hAaz!!

xiao-ker-ai's so cute! when he saw me, his face brightened and he gave me a HUGE smile and said eh! you are here le!

there were quite a handful of scouts who forgot to bring their woggle. so i cycled back and got the extra woggles that i bought in the past. met up with binghui along the way and he followed me home. i went to take a shower as i smell of BBQ and i don't like the feeling of stickyness.

after settling everything, we headed back to GreenRidge Secondary. the boys were about to set off for the hike, doing warmups~ loLx=) the bikers, xianghao, binghui, dennis, yanhui and me, were given roles. yanhui and i were the last man!

its tiring to be the last man~ imagine riding on a bike and you have to go slowly=/ but, i made use of this chance to learn jumping on the bike~ teehee~ Scouter ZhaoYi taught me the method and i got the jumping going really quick=D

endless walking till Kranji War Memorial.

along the way, we stopped for a rest at a closed petrol station. saw xiao-ker-ai again and he gave me another BIG smile~ hAHaz! then, a while later, a biker rode in. alvin joined us! hAaz~ he took only 15 minutes to reach our rest point from his place=/ he's freaking fast...

after our break, yanhui and i became the lead man. it was pretty dangerous as i had to direct the traffic to the other lane, but there were super blur drivers who almost knocked me down and taxi drivers stopping, thinking that i was flagging for a cab. thank God that i wasn't knocked down by a stupid speeding car...

when we finally reached Kranji War Memorial, the boys were on their own to explore the Memorial. i was stoning, looking around, making sure that the scouts were not to something funny.

then, a van turned into the Memorial. a group of malays, drunk and smoking stepped out. they made their way into the Memorial and said that they are here to pay their respects.

feeling extremely protective of my boys, i followed closely behind them, making sure that they keep a distance from the scouts. when they got into the Memorial, i got KokYeow and Wilber to join me. we got all the other scouts who were in the Memorial to leave the premises and rest at the carpark. after walking rounds in the Memorial and making sure that all the scouts are out, we left the Memorial.

sunday -

changed to my uniform and had my breakfast - 1 piece of prata. lolx=P

the ceremony finally started and as we knelt down, waiting for sunrise.

the sun FINALLY rose and we started to scarf the boys. i scarfed boys that i didn't even know, but thank God, they know who i am. lolx=)

after the entire ceremony, we had our group picture and for the first time in 3 years, we (rovers) were at the front.

packed up, and ready to leave! saw xiao-ker-ai again and i asked him if he wants to cycle home~ lolx=P another mega-watt smile and he said if i were to cycle him back~ lolx=P

changed my attire cause its not approiate the cycle in the scouts full uniform. we reached bukit panjang when they said that some ventures are in choa chu kang mcdonalds. so, we cycled back and joined them for breakfast over there.

i slept on the table when they were chatting.

finally, they decided to leave.

reached home, read the papers and fell asleep. lolx=) i guess i slept only 5 hours~ still feeling very sleepy but i guess i'll be joining my friends at salvation army to play basketball =X

the time is NOW, grab it and make FULL use of it!

straight after school ended today, i made my way down to church. i had Christian Lifestyle lessons at 6.30 and i didn't want to be late.

reached church at 6.00pm and i made my way to KFC for my dinner!

got into class and i saw yisheng, a brother from sister sharon's cellgroup, in the class too~ took the seat beside his and waited patiently for the class to start.

brother darren then walked into the class. at first, i was quite disappointed~ i was expecting brother kimhock!! hAaz~ but, nontheless, brother darren's a great teacher too!

brother darren really made an effort to teach us and he gave us many examples that made me think about. a simple topic like worship, but its so complex and beautiful.

headed down to b4 for service! it seems that there is so much more people today! the auditorium was packed and there were still people moving about~ i could not help but vision the entire church packed on a normal service and we would have to start another new service! =D

service, testimonys and Pastor Kong. hEh hEh~ there's so many GREAT activities coming up! i can't wait!! you guys really got to join me in the services~

yeah~ i'll be joining my scouts for a overnight hike~ the best news is that i'll be cycling! hAaz! thank God i do not have to walk~ =D and thanks to alvin, who willingly lent me his precious bike.

one last piece of good news~ my entire zone is shifting to service 5~~!! 11.30am to 1.30pm on sunday!! its almost like a dream come true cause i would be able to serve on 2 other services on sunday!! woohoo!! -hops- praise the Lord!

i can dwell in God's presence~!

after noticing some negative comments in this blogsite and my friend's one, i decided to post some comments myself too.

if you are uncomfortable reading my blog, go ahead and close this window. no one's stopping you. do you feel GREAT when you tag me in my tag-board, indicating that i'm some gone case freaked out person? what kind of "highness" do you achieve?

if you feel that i'm a person who's totally obsessed with God, think again. look at what religious people out there are doing? IF i am totally obsessed with God, i would be in the streets right now, preaching the gospel to every single person i meet.

worst still, if YOU are a Christian, or rather, you know God, and you made the comments, why are you causing disruption? is it because you are not as fervent as i am? does that give you a right to pull me down? try harder=)

why put up your defenses SO high when i'm just trying to share with you? is it hard to receive?

this is just a online diary for me, a tool perhaps, to share my experience and encounters with God.

perhaps all my friends dislike reading my blog, and they do not read it anymore. but, at least i know that they are not people who would discourage me. perhaps behind my back, people are throwing darts at me. besides feeling hurt, what else can i do? its their life, its their thinking. i can never change a person's mind to suit mine nor would i whitewash them.

but, it is up to you to decide if you want to change. go ring up some of my old friends and ask them about the old me. i was once even an anti-Christ.

i had a very bad encounter with another church and it left deep scars. to the extend that whenever someone from that church calls me up, i would shout at them on the phone and hang up. even when someone is merely sharing the gospel with me, i would shut the person up immediately and say that i'm a freethinker.

i even said stuffs that would upset the Christian faith. that was me in the past.

then, God used Charmaine in a powerful way. i got to know Charmaine and we got pretty close. through Charmaine, i got to know God. whenever Charmaine shares about God, i would merely listen. i learnt to listen...

so, after 1 whole week of pleading, i went to church with her on Christmas day. it was on that day then i realised that Christmas is actually celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. a day of celebration for all Christians.

but, i didn't receive Christ at that time, because i felt that its all a mock.

so, God dealed with me personally. whenever i'm facing a crisis, Charmaine appears out of no where and invites me to church again. 5 times in 2 years, i was extremely blessed by the message, and i began to feel something, a burden in my heart.

slowly, i started to believe in God, and i learnt to turn to Him when i had no one to turn to.

after receiving Christ, things changed. my thinking became a little more matured. instead of thinking in the box, i started to think out of the box. my temper went down a little and i began to open up.

but, why keep all the blessing to myself, i thought. wouldn't it be better if i could share my blessings with everyone and pray that your heart would be soften too?

do not be a sterotype and comment on whatever you heard someone else said.

experience it yourself with a open heart and see things in a different way.

i'm so excited~!!

as i was surfing City Harvest Church website earlier, i noticed a new announcment.

With effect from 23-25 July 2004, we will be launching our 6th English Service!

PRAISE THE LORD!!

so what if it means that i've have to wake up earlier if i'm attending sunday service. so what if it means that i've to be in church before 8pm on a saturday. so what if it means i'll still be in service 1.

the MAIN point is that, God's building our church!! our church is growing and its Jesus, who made it all possible! praise the Lord!!

now, seeing that there's a new service, and for 3 weeks we would be having Church without Walls seminar, i am having visions of souls being saved and added into the kingdom of God, REVIVAL breaking out in polytechnics, secondary schools, JCs and ITEs!! praise the Lord!!

sooner or later, we would need a larger church and more services! praise the Lord~!!

thank God for such wonderful news, thank God for the revival that would break out in all the schools in Singapore, thank God for the growth in City Harvest Church!!

thats all the information i can gather about him~ hEhz. michael wong, he's so deadly, fast and accurate, playing basketball with him makes you feel like you are a kiddy.

well, i didn't have the chance to play with him, but i was watching him play at Bukit Panjang Community Centre - a place where he frequents~

he's so fast and before you know it, he scores a basket. he's so accurate, when he shoots the ball, points are awarded.

weilun, weiming and i were rooted to our seats and we analysed his gameplay. it was simply overwhelming for us. he rarely misses a basket, and when he dribbles into the paint, his opponent's feet seem to be made of lead- they were unable to catch up with him.

well, i played basketball with my friends earlier too. nice day to play basketball~ even though i injured my ankle, the pain got away when i was playing.

all i need now is to play like Michael Wong. LOL!

not so fast dude. i really need to hit the gyms, shoot more hoops, play more basketball and i'll hit tiptop condition. said easy, doing hard. HERMAN! when are we restoring our "Point of No Return" sessions!?

back to basketball, i felt that i could have played better. herman was practically fighting for every single ball, weilun, as usual, was scoring baskets, jiawei scoring as well. all i did was to restart the game. lolx=)

i even played for the girls' team~ hehx. patricia, michell and another girl who i can't remember her name=X well, we won matches! haHaz~ most of the work going to the girls=) sometimes the girls really surprise me~ gentle and sometimes they afraid of the ball, but they still score loads of baskets.

finally i had a proper game, but i was let down by my team mates. sometimes its very annoying when its a very tight game, and they refuse to pass the ball around. the worst thing is that they lose possession of the ball, and never fight for the ball. during times like this, i like to control the ball and attack myself if possible. its moments like this when my confidence overflows, BUT I NEED THE BALL!! HaHaz~ btw, not speaking about you herman~ before you start evolving to become hulk=X

anyway, i enjoyed myself playing basketball today~ played seriously, but still in a relaxed manner. controlled my temper when i was tempted to beat the lights out of a skinny bamboo.

hmm. its gonna be an early night. i'll be in school by 7am~ praise the Lord!

its tuesday!

PQS lesson was boring, as usual. it got so boring to the extend that samantha, nurul, kailiang and me went out and took breakfast at the atrium. when we proceeded back to class, it was group discussion and after 5 minutes, we were dismissed~

loads of confusion and laughter during this period of time.

finally, we decided to board the bus. well, another incident happened here, which i don't want to elaborate.

okie, heres the funny part - SOMEONE got stuck between the doors when "someone" was alighting the bus~! LoLx~ apparently, when "someone" was about to alight, the doors were starting to close, so thinking that there would be censors on the door, "someone" tried to prevent the doors from closing. "someone" stuck out her legs and arms, and tried to open the doors. well, "someone" got stuck between the doors and half of "someone"'s leg was out of the bus~

well, thank God i wasn't laughing at "someone" and i pressed the door bell to inform the uncle that there's "someone" stuck at the door, and i want to alight too~ lolx=X

i promised that "someone" not to reveal names=)

5 hours break was spent in nurul's house, watching DVD, eating and sleeping on the table. loLx=P

we watched gotika. its quite a complicating show~ but, quite interesting when the story twisted in the middle part.

headed back to school super sleepy, but when our next class Television beyond Entertainment started, i was wide awake and listened attentively. today's lesson was quite interesting. we talked about the taboos of television programs.

then, felix, nurul and i headed to canteen 2, where felix and i had our dinner. after eating, i started to mass message and asked if they are attending the Church without Walls seminar. managed to get chewlin, clarice, valerie, bernard and felicia to meet us~

loads of time wasted waiting for each other, but i guess we were not quite late when we reached church. though the queue was already filling up, i guess most of them managed to get seats in the auditorium.

Church without Walls seminar - seriously shocking survey results. i'm very blessed by the message and i believe that it would cause everyone to bring in the souls for the kingdom of God. the message's EXTREMELY encouraging~ it made me want to preach the word of God in this blog, in my class, home, practically everywhere. loLx=)

class ended at 4 plus earlier, when we were about to leave the block, it started to rain pretty heavily. so, we decided to walk to the atrium in the rain as we were lazy to walk a huge round. the moment we stepped out of the block, the rain stopped!!

the moment we stepped into the atrium, it rained extremely heavily again. so, i told felix that by God's grace, when we finish our dinner, the rain would stop.

then, when i was waiting for my cellgroup members in church, sister sharon came up to me and asked why wasn't i queuing up. so i told her that i'm waiting for the other members and i said "by God's grace, i would get seats in the auditorium." then, i went on telling her about my day~ loLx=P sister sharon was quite amazed and said that she should stay with me, so that she would get seats too~ =P

so, i took a lift up to the 4th floor. it was packed! took the lift back down to level 1, crossed to the other side, went up again and this time, it wasn't even packed! loLx=)

bernice, the winner of the word power, a student of NP was standing behind me. i was so tempted to call her, but i remembered that she doesn't know me~ loLz=P realised that not only she looks cute, she sounds cute too~ hAaz=P

we queued up at the stairs and when the doors at b4 opened, we made our way down. found our seats easily and settled down. lolx=)

thank God for blessing me, Jesus's the one who made it all possible.

i can't wait for tomorrow. more adventures, discoveries and miracles from Jesus=)

restless day...

woke up late and i rushed down to meet xuanzhu and binghui at the bus stop. we finally got to board the bus at 7.40 and i was very sure that we're gonna be late for our class.

reached class at 8.15 and i wrote my name on the whiteboard, indicating my arrival time. at the end of the lesson, my lecturer told me that she would not mark me late as i arrived in the 15 minutes grace time. thank God~!!

frankly, for the rest of the day, i practically stoned through classes and mass messaged my friends super lame stuffs. asking them if they are missing me right now~ hehz..

praise God~! we would be having Church without Walls seminar!! -hops- instead of the Isaiah Bible Studies, Pastor Kong felt the Holy Spirit instructing him to change it to Church without Walls seminar. amen!!!

i can't wait for the seminar, which starts tomorrow and it would take 3 weeks, 1 day per week to finish it.

its going to be a great message for the entire church!! -hops-

its time to step into my friend's boat and fellowship with them...

like how Jesus did when he was sharing the Gospel. He noticed simon peter and his group of fishermans ignoring the Gospel as they were busy fishing. so, Jesus took action. He got onto their boats, sat down and chatted with them. He did miracles, signs and wonders that caused simon peter to receive salvation.

to get onto other people's boat, is as simple as getting into their lives.

to simon peter, his boat was his life. without his boat, simon peter would not be able to catch fishes to sell. as Jesus sat down in his boat and fellowshipped, He found out that they had a bad day - they didn't manage to catch any fishes. so, Jesus did a miracle in simon peter's life. He asked simon peter to cast the net again, and simon peter listened to Him.

simon peter realised that his net was filled with fishes and simon peter had to get the other fishermans to help him pull the net up. even their boats were sinking due to the overwhelming pressure.

when simon peter saw the signs and wonders Jesus did, simon peter begin to praise God. well, simon peter received his salvation afterwards=)

as we fellowship with others, we begin to discover their needs. fulfill their needs for them.

and that brings me to this main point - find a HURT and HEAL it. find a NEED and MEET it.

i was extremely blessed by the message pastor Kong preached today. it really made me want to "barge" into my friends lives and change their lives forever.

revival never stops!

well, i wasn't only blessed during service. i learnt something really important in Christian Lifestyle class today - thanksgiving and praise.

giving thanks to God even when i'm at my lowest point, most depressed moment. its hard, but i can do it. i'll sing praise songs even when the sun is not shining, its hard, but i can do it. give thanks for things and not all things...

joined sister sharon's cellgroup for newcomers' tea, and charmaine accompanied me too=P had a great time laughing around, fooling around and sharing with charmaine~ it still amazes me when she's serious... lolx=) she still remains as one of my favourite people to share with...

the video about the history of City Harvest Church was seriously funny!! pastor Kong back then was a total nerdie!! hAaz! super cute in his round and huge specs, skinny frame and boyish voice. but now, he's a man of God, dashing, muscular and powerful voice! thank God! pastor Kong's a scout too!! -hops-

was rather late for cellgroup meeting today and i almost lost my way~ i boarded the wrong bus, but thank God i messaged melaine to double check~ if not, i wonder where would i end up in. heHz...

cellgroup's pretty huge today~ i guess almost full strength, just short of 2 brothers who are in the army. thank God~ today's message was about faith, having faith and commitment in the faith promises we make to God and how God would fulfill our promises=) having faith is not everything, we got to have action!

shortly after CG ended, charmaine and i headed home as she had something on afterwards~ we decided to take a taxi back as she was running late. been a long time since i last chatted with charmaine, and i made use of the chance to chat up with her~ hAaz=P

reached home, left my bag at home and shortly afterwards, left house again. i went to join my fellow rovers for BBQ near my place. well, its a BBQ meeting. eating and talking about future plans in rovering. i signed up for 1-star kayaking course with them and on august 14, 15, i'll be in the open seas of singapore kayaking myself to a 1-star certificate.

courses in scouts are getting more and more expensive! 1-star kayaking course costs 60 bucks, including membership fees! first-aid course costs 80 bucks! our rovers are even planning on a hongkong trip next year, and we're encouraged to save 30 bucks every month, till next year=/

besides that, xianghao and i are going for our woodbadge. each course and camps costs a bomb!! i don't think we would be sponsered by the unit=/ its all paid by ourselves~ sigh.

i wonder why some of my rovers want me to get attached. they were trying to convince me, and even claimed that i'm not in a good mood. sheesh, even after when i told them that God loves me and its not the time for me to get into a relationship, they still go on and on.

as much as i want to get into a relationship, i fear. confusion sets into my mind and i tend to take a step back. i've been telling myself that its too fast and i should give each other more time. but in the process, i feel myself drifting further away. am i taking the right steps, or am i just restricting myself.

but, i've decided to trust in God that He would tide me through and its God's will, not my will. since i've trusted God, i listen and follow His words. they say that this is the best time to party, play and have fun. but i feel that their joy are shortlived.

whats more encouraging then seeing your friends added into the kingdom of God and become a great testimony.

whats more joyful then the joy of the Lord when it sets upon everyone?

and which club is much more happening then our church service? no drugs, no fights and no violence.

recently, i've got a friend, who happens to attend the same church as i am, told me that he would not serve God because he has no time. he wants to play and seek earthly desires. i was quite disappointed and i tried to challenge him, but he still didn't take up the challenge.

is there really such a thing as no time? i had wonderful moments with friends in church, memories that would last a lifetime. sometimes i wished that i made the decision to accept Christ 2 years ago. i would not have made silly mistakes in my life. but, looking back in regret is useless.

looking at the positive side, i'm glad that i accepted Christ last year. it made me realise that i needed God in my life. there were times when i felt completely lost, and i had no where to turn to, except God. even before i was saved, i prayed to Him whenever i'm cornered. slowly, i realised that God is real and i've been blessed by the messages whenever i attended service.

5 services in 2 years. all 5 sermons spoke directly into my heart. i could feel a strong urge in my heart to let go and receive Christ. whenever the altar call is given, i didn't respond. but in my heart i felt myself crying out to God, asking Him to forgive me.

until pastor Phil Pringle came to preach. he plainly said, crying out to God alone is useless, we have to receive His salvation. that night, i made a decision to commit myself in church and cellgroup.

i've always make it a point to attend services and cellgroup meetings. even if i've got programs that would clash with church or cellgroup, i would usually get someone else to cover me. sometimes, i get insulted or scolded, but as long as i'm covered, i'm able to attend services and cellgroups.

1 year from now, i do not want to look back and realise that i could have done something great for God, but because i wasn't commited, i failed.

time to move on, and keep moving...

boring day~

was supposed to meet yanren in the school gym at 9am, but i woke up late and i was too lazy to meet him afterwards~ heehe~ i guess i'll start joining him in the school gym next week onwards, i got a body to tone~ loLx=P

database class. its starting to be extremely boring, and i do not even understand whatever the lecturer is talking about even when i'm reading the lecture slides.

OOP class. we had our practical in one of the computer labs~ well, i had no idea whatever the lecturer was trying to explain. we did the questions, changed accordingly to whatever he said and got the answers without knowing why. loLx=P

1 week of school has ended~ so, examinations are coming in about 8 weeks time~

textbooks are so freaking expensive~! extremely thick books with hard covers that adds on to the weight and cost, but our study materials never covers so much from the book~! sometimes, the textbook is so complicated and filled with words~! its not even approriate for students.

well, i got to stop complaining=P

super long day...

first 2 hours of school got canceled, thank God!! and i got my long desired sleep. just 1 hour more=/ hahaZz~

headed for school, and i was amazed by the number of friends i bumped into. its the first time after one whole year in poly that i bumped into more then 5 friends along the way~ lolx=P herman, bingru, jeffery, jasmine, weilun, darren and delwyn.

had totally no idea where was my classroom located~ thank God i met my classmates along the way, and we hunted for the class. well, managed to find it after 5 minutes~ my classmates were very late for class, all using the same excuse - could not find the class. lolx=P

DM class was quite interesting, even though we studied a topic that we did last year - sets, its still quite challenging and i felt the difference. i felt that i understood the topics easiler~ thank God=)

my class needs to pray extremely hard for OOP. apparently, our tutor didn't teach that module last year, and he doesnt seem to know how to teach us=/ all he does is read from the lecture slides and excutes the programs for us to see.

at 12pm, i rushed down to the stadium and met up with the NP-CHC members. there are so many people present~! more then i expected~ haHaz~ brother kimhock turned up and gave us a talk about the plans and events that would be coming up~ i can't wait for it to kickstart!!

rushed back to class after my attempt to get samantha or shuling to join me in OOP class failed~ hahaZz=P grabbed 2 chicken baos and ate along the way~ chicken baos never tasted SO good...

then its lessons straight till 5~

after school ended, i headed to canteen 1 to meet up with jessica, bimei and aaron. we're waiting for time to pass, then we would meet brother alvin and vera at clementi MRT station.

received news in clementi MRT station that shuling would be joining us~ haHaz~ i got pretty excited for no reason, then jessica and vera were saying that i like shuling=/ they even said that i was blushing=/ well, jessica! if your reading this, we're just friends=)

shuling finally reached clementi MRT station after 30-45 minutes? in the train, samantha called and told me that she's at marina, waiting for us~ hAaz=P was quite shocked cause i thought that she would not be joining us~ well, somehow she managed to wriggle out of trouble. hehee~ double excitment..

marina, steamboat~!! brother alvin, brother caleb, samantha, bimei, jessica, shuling, diresh and me! not much people, but we certainly had fun~! loads of laughter and pigging out=P

our tables were completely filled with food and we kept cooking and cooking~ i kept dumping the food onto brother caleb, shuling and diresh's plates~ didnt take much myself... i wonder why now=/ LOL~

finally after pigging out, we headed home~ loLx. sent shuling back as she looked really terrible. kept coughing and her face was really pale. samantha didn't really look good either, so was jessica~ i guess the long days are really getting onto everyone? take care guys~ =)

yeah manz. school's starting at 1pm tomorrow, and i'm broke again! hahaz~ =P

you are not useless~! God didn't create you to be useless in this world. He created you to do something great for Him! but, when is it? that's the beauty behind it=)

we're all pregnant with potential in us. do you want to bury the potentials God placed in you when you die? or do you want to release those potentials to help serve others and God?

what is potential? it is doing something that we never thought we would do. through hardwork, we unleash our potential~ we discover more about ourselves when we work.

what is work? it is doing something for a purpose. you would never know your potential until you work. perhaps the reason why God placed you in polymer is because He wants you to work hard, tap into your potential and release it! you would discover new horizons and talents deep in you, but are you willing to step out of the comfort zone?

if it means that you have to study very hard and be very disciplined, would you take the time and effort to achieve it?

God expects the best from us in whatever we do.

whenever you need someone to talk to, and there isn't anyone around you. close your eyes, focus on God and talk to Him. it doesn't have to be a powerful prayer, but it can be even a normal conversion with Him. its as though you are chatting with your friends.
